Wide-Tooth Neem Wood Comb

The Detangling Comb is Trutatva's wide-tooth neem wood comb, hand-carved from Kacchi (raw) neem and deep-seasoned with cold-pressed sesame oil — not just surface-sprayed. With 18 wide, rounded teeth and a broad paddle handle, it's built for detangling thick, wavy or curly hair and working oil through hair with ease.

In Ayurveda, dry neem wood is naturally cooling but can be drying (Ruksha) on its own. Sesame oil is warming (Ushna) and pacifies dryness, so together they create a balanced, therapeutic tool rather than a simple detangler — the oil penetrates the wood's fibres, sealing out moisture damage and releasing nourishing compounds with every stroke.

Why a neem comb instead of plastic? Plastic combs generate static that roughs up the hair cuticle, causing frizz and breakage. This wooden anti-static comb glides smoothly, gently stimulates the scalp to support blood circulation to hair follicles, and is naturally antibacterial — unlike plastic, which can harbour bacteria with repeated scalp contact. It's also fully biodegradable.
